first_img If you’re a child of the 80’s then you no doubt remember He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Mattel released the popular action figures back in the day but has since licensed the toy line to Super7. The company will soon be releasing a new line of classic He-Man toys that are a nice homage to the action figures of old. These figures aren’t actually technically “new.” With the exception of Ram Man who is just colored differently, these are based on the Masters of the Universe “classic” line that was released in 2008 by MattyCollector (who Mattel licensed to make MotU toys before hiring Super7). This “Ultimate” line of toys are essentially compilations of figures that have been released since 2008. The line includes He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Faker, and Ram Man. This is just for starters so it’s reasonable to assume that Super7 will release more He-Man figures in the future. These figures are a great starting point for new collectors and for those who missed them when they were originally released. As you can imagine, the original toys from the 80’s are sold for high prices through the secondary market so these figures ensure that folks who want to own MotU figures won’t have to pay an arm and a leg for them. The molds aren’t exactly up to modern standards but this shouldn’t be an issue for collectors. As of now there is no pricing for these He-Man and the Masters of the Universe action-figures. We should find out on November 16 when the figures are available to pre-order on Super7’s website. Orders are expected to begin shipping in the first quarter of 2017.
