the IAF’s special operations C-130 J aircraft is believed to have been caused by the transporter inadvertently flying into the wake of the lead plane during the tactical training mission leading to a loss of control at low altitude and the accident that killed all five crew members Preliminary findings of the detailed inquiry under way point to a “wake turbulence” incident in which the C-130 J which was part of a two-aircraft formation practising insertion of paratroopers stalled at a low level after hitting the wake of the lead aircraft The findings have ruled out any technical fault and suggested that the aircraft failed to adopt a flight path to avoid the massive wake generated by the four engines of the lead C-130 J An error of judgement by the pilot could have contributed to the incident the findings suggest The probability of such a loss of control is particularly high when heavy aircraft are conducting manoeuvres close to the ground In this case both aircraft were flying at 300 feet above ground level and had to climb to 1000 feet when the accident occurred While the lead aircraft of the formation successfully climbed to 1000 feet after the simulated “drop” the second aircraft crashed into a river bed without any warning or distress signal This sources said suggests a sudden drastic loss of control due to the turbulence generated by the lead C-130 J and is being corroborated by the air crash investigators with data from the flight recorders Once the inquiry findings are finalised new safety directives are likely to be generated within the air force to avoid such accidents The air force had also sought the help of the manufacturer Lockheed Martin to decipher the voice recorder as well as the flight data recorder The loss of the air force’s most modern special operations C-130 J aircraft on March 28 was particularly shocking given that the plane had been inducted into the air force in 2010 and was commanded by Wing Commander Prashant Joshi an experienced pilot and the second in command of the 77 ‘Veiled Vipers’ squadron Hours after taking off as part of a two-aircraft formation from Agra to carry out low-level flying training the aircraft I’d buy these 2 cheap FTSE 100 stocks in an ISA to retire early Peter Stephens | Monday, 18th May, 2020 | More on: GLEN LLOY Buying FTSE 100 stocks with £5k in an ISA today may not seem to be a sound strategy for those investors seeking to retire early. The world economy faces one of its most challenging periods in living memory. And the coronavirus has caused many industries to experience significantly lower demand. However, buying FTSE 100 stocks after their recent price falls could be a means of accessing low valuations. In many cases they offer recovery potential, and may help to bring your retirement date a step closer.5G is here – and shares of this ‘sleeping giant’ could be a great way for you to potentially profit!According to one leading industry firm, the 5G boom could create a global industry worth US$12.3 TRILLION out of thin air…And if you click here we’ll show you something that could be key to unlocking 5G’s full potential…Here are two large-cap shares that appear to offer wide margins of safety and turnaround potential over the coming years.GlencoreThe recent quarterly update from FTSE 100 mining company Glencore (LSE: GLEN) highlighted that a substantial part of its operations have been unaffected by coronavirus. However, some of its operations are likely to be affected. And this could lead to a fall in its production guidance over the coming months. This may be offset to some degree by falls in Glencore’s costs. It has benefitted from lower energy costs in recent months, while favourable currency movements may limit its profitability decline. It has also recorded strong demand within its Marketing division. This may help to mitigate a potential slowdown in demand for a wide range of commodities across the global economy should a recession happen. The Glencore share price has fallen by 42% since the start of the year. Yes, investor sentiment towards the wider FTSE 100 mining sector may take time to improve from its current low levels. But the company’s performance could be relatively strong. As such, now could be an opportune moment to buy a slice of the business for the long run.FTSE 100 bank LloydsLloyds (LSE: LLOY) looks set to face difficult operating conditions in the short run. Its recent quarterly update included an impairment charge of £1.43bn due to the revised economic outlook. This reduced the bank’s quarterly profit to just £74m. Lower levels of profit may become the norm for the bank in the current year, as reduced economic activity across the UK could lead to lower demand for new lending.Despite this, Lloyds’ update also highlighted its strong balance sheet and its capacity to reduce costs. For example, its operating costs declined by 4% during the quarter, and further reductions could help to offset a decline in income to some extent. The Lloyds share price has fallen by 55% since the start of the year. This suggests that investors have factored-in a large proportion of the risks faced by the FTSE 100 company, and could indicate that it now offers a wide margin of safety. Therefore, it could offer recovery potential after its share price fall as the economic outlook improves over the coming years. On one side, an open common space containing the kitchen, dining, and living areas spans the entire length of the house. This space facilitates everyday family life in a vibrant and shared environment, without conforming itself to formality or tidiness. There are no separate rooms for reading, eating, or working, only a dynamic and ever-changing space that embraces everything that makes a house a happy home: some messiness, a bit of chaos, and lots of laughter.Save this picture!© Norbert TukajA wall of glazing connects the common space to the garden, where an apple orchard attracts the occasional deer and the natural surroundings of the regional park form a dynamic backdrop to life inside the house.
